Waking Up To Boys

Well i finally finished another book. I find now that i no longer work overnights, and took on another job, i do not have as much time in my day to read my books, and i certainly miss jumping into another world of a book. Anyways...Waking Up To Boys by Hailey Abbott, is a summertime story about a girl named Chelsea. Her parents own this summer resort where she has become part of the staff team. She faces the problem of everyone on staff seeing her as the "little kid" or the "resort owners kid", never giving her the chance for a summer romance. To top things off her beautiful half sister Sara shows up and Chelsea believes shes just there to ruin her life. Sara is getting all the attention from guys...that is until Sebastian shows up and shows Chelsea differently. The other part of the book is how Chelsea's passion is wake-boarding, and of course her wake-boarding instructor Todd...whom Chelsea believes doesn't seen her as anything but his competition. The story follows Chelsea and her summer through her failures and triumphs. So far i have enjoyed Abbott's books (even if they are meant for a younger crowd), i find they are long, but short enough for a good summer read.

Every year people make all kinds of resolutions... and typically people drop them by the second week in january, or if they are lucky, they can hold on until february. I had seen online the other day someones resolution was for people to start loving who they were and to accept themselves and to stop trying to always change.  NOW, i love that resolution and i hope people are able to accept who they are, except in my case i am not healthy, and not only do i want to become healthy, but i am stretching for a much larger goal, and i hope that i can accomplish it! Safe Haven

 **SPOILER ALERT** I typically do not like to read the books that get turned into movies because i will usually end up hating the book or the movie. However, when i was up at bowling i got talking to one of the other girlfriends who hang out up there and we got talking about Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks. She suggested to read it, and she even gave me her copy of the book.  Ive had it for a few months now, and still didnt read it. I started about a month ago, and for the first few chapters, the book followed the movie, so i could almost see the movie playing in my head as i read. So i put the book down for a while. Just this past week i picked it back up again, and i finished it within days. The story is different.  In the movie Alex finds out about Katie's past because of the "wanted" poster up with her picture, however it really plays more into him finding out and its more a gradual thing in the book. Falltime Bucket List Update #5

Visit a Corn Maze  On 10/23/14 Mark and I went to a corn maze before Michael's football game. It was shaped like a vikings hat, and it was actually really fun. I had been to one when i was little and i had always wanted to go back to one. I was finally glad that i found one that was affordable! Last year all the corn mazes i had found cost about $30 or more. This one was $7! Perfect and i can not wait to go again next year.  Visit a Fall Festival  On 10/25/14 the town of Essex, CT held their annual pumpkin festival. I had been many years prior when i was babysitting someone, and i loved it! This year i made sure to look up the date, and when Mark got out of work we drive 30 minutes. The festival was fun! They had all the pumpkins that were carved and lit up. They had a band playing music and food and hot chocolate.
