Pen Pals

Something i have always enjoyed doing is writing letters. Not emails...actual letters that go through the mail. AKA snail mail :) I have had many pen pals through the years. My longest one is Ramona, she is from Austria. We have been pen pals since 2003. Then i am pen pals with Lindsey. She lives in California and we have been pen pals since 2009 when i first went off to college. I have had several others since then, but none of them which lasted for very long. However, i just found two new pen pals. One is from Nevada, and the other is Hawaii. I hope that these two will last so i can get to know more people. At home i have these very large binders where the front and back is a collage of all the envelopes from the letters i get, and the sides are stamps. Inside are tab dividers of people's names and i try to keep the letters in order in there. They are cool to look back on, however since our move i am not too sure where they ended up, so right now i am just collecting all the letters in one area so one day when i find the binders, i can add them to it. I go to the dollar tree every so often and find all sorts of fun paper with different patterns and different boarders on it. I love changing it up for my pen pals. When i meet new people i will give them this blog to check out, so they can learn a little bit about me. If anyone out there reading this is interested in a pen pal...comment on here or email me. Maybe it would work out nicely :)

Happy New Years

Every year people make all kinds of resolutions... and typically people drop them by the second week in january, or if they are lucky, they can hold on until february. I had seen online the other day someones resolution was for people to start loving who they were and to accept themselves and to stop trying to always change.  NOW, i love that resolution and i hope people are able to accept who they are, except in my case i am not healthy, and not only do i want to become healthy, but i am stretching for a much larger goal, and i hope that i can accomplish it! Safe Haven

 **SPOILER ALERT** I typically do not like to read the books that get turned into movies because i will usually end up hating the book or the movie. However, when i was up at bowling i got talking to one of the other girlfriends who hang out up there and we got talking about Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks. She suggested to read it, and she even gave me her copy of the book.  Ive had it for a few months now, and still didnt read it. I started about a month ago, and for the first few chapters, the book followed the movie, so i could almost see the movie playing in my head as i read. So i put the book down for a while. Just this past week i picked it back up again, and i finished it within days. The story is different.  In the movie Alex finds out about Katie's past because of the "wanted" poster up with her picture, however it really plays more into him finding out and its more a gradual thing in the book. Falltime Bucket List Update #5

Visit a Corn Maze  On 10/23/14 Mark and I went to a corn maze before Michael's football game. It was shaped like a vikings hat, and it was actually really fun. I had been to one when i was little and i had always wanted to go back to one. I was finally glad that i found one that was affordable! Last year all the corn mazes i had found cost about $30 or more. This one was $7! Perfect and i can not wait to go again next year.  Visit a Fall Festival  On 10/25/14 the town of Essex, CT held their annual pumpkin festival. I had been many years prior when i was babysitting someone, and i loved it! This year i made sure to look up the date, and when Mark got out of work we drive 30 minutes. The festival was fun! They had all the pumpkins that were carved and lit up. They had a band playing music and food and hot chocolate.
