Carnival Cruise: Nassau

Our next stop on the cruise was Nassau, Paradise Island. At this port we decided to spend the day at the Atlantis resort. We got a tour of the hotel in the beginning. Then we hit the water park. After lunch we walked around a little bit to find a few places i had always wanted to see. Then went on a few more water rides. On the way back to the bus we went to the aquarium.
This was Mark on the "lazy river" which as you can see there are waves, and tons of rapids. Not so lazy after all. I had been on the river before, and had a blast. Mark said he really liked it too.

This was one of the places i had wanted to try and find. The rope bridge. We did go across it, and explore on the other side. Very cool.

We both loved the Atlantis and would love to come back and check it all out and spend some time there. Maybe someday we will be able to stay!

Happy New Years

Every year people make all kinds of resolutions... and typically people drop them by the second week in january, or if they are lucky, they can hold on until february. I had seen online the other day someones resolution was for people to start loving who they were and to accept themselves and to stop trying to always change.  NOW, i love that resolution and i hope people are able to accept who they are, except in my case i am not healthy, and not only do i want to become healthy, but i am stretching for a much larger goal, and i hope that i can accomplish it! Safe Haven

 **SPOILER ALERT** I typically do not like to read the books that get turned into movies because i will usually end up hating the book or the movie. However, when i was up at bowling i got talking to one of the other girlfriends who hang out up there and we got talking about Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks. She suggested to read it, and she even gave me her copy of the book.  Ive had it for a few months now, and still didnt read it. I started about a month ago, and for the first few chapters, the book followed the movie, so i could almost see the movie playing in my head as i read. So i put the book down for a while. Just this past week i picked it back up again, and i finished it within days. The story is different.  In the movie Alex finds out about Katie's past because of the "wanted" poster up with her picture, however it really plays more into him finding out and its more a gradual thing in the book. It also shows her relationship with Jo more than in the movie,

Falltime Bucket List Update #5

Visit a Corn Maze  On 10/23/14 Mark and I went to a corn maze before Michael's football game. It was shaped like a vikings hat, and it was actually really fun. I had been to one when i was little and i had always wanted to go back to one. I was finally glad that i found one that was affordable! Last year all the corn mazes i had found cost about $30 or more. This one was $7! Perfect and i can not wait to go again next year.  Visit a Fall Festival  On 10/25/14 the town of Essex, CT held their annual pumpkin festival. I had been many years prior when i was babysitting someone, and i loved it! This year i made sure to look up the date, and when Mark got out of work we drive 30 minutes. The festival was fun! They had all the pumpkins that were carved and lit up. They had a band playing music and food and hot chocolate.
