Tax Day Nightmare

In the past I have used TurboTax online and filed my federal taxes for free, it was easy! All you did was put in your W-2's, went through a bunch of steps and then just hit complete and file. Well this year I not only had W-2s but I also had a 1099 to complicate things. I tried to do the online for free but because I had a 1099 I had to pay for the extended version. Before I paid I tried seeing if I could do it right and no matter what, something was going wrong. I could not find where to put the ductions for my mileage for the 1099s job. Online on H&R Block it said that students would have to pay $30 to come in and have a tax assessor do their taxes for them. She wanted to charge me $150! Even though it said online only $30. I went to my moms guy today who does hers and he helped me do the on line one. Turns out I have to pay 486, not 271 like I had thought, and of course- I don't have that in my account. So I decided to print it and write a check since I will be paid soon. I meet up with mom because she printed the 1040 for me. Well I didn't realize I had to send the w-2s with it. So now mom is rushing home to get them to then rush to the post office for me. Stress! But she just called and she is in line at the post office. Thank god. Next year I'll pay someone else to do it way before this date!

Every year people make all kinds of resolutions... and typically people drop them by the second week in january, or if they are lucky, they can hold on until february. I had seen online the other day someones resolution was for people to start loving who they were and to accept themselves and to stop trying to always change.  NOW, i love that resolution and i hope people are able to accept who they are, except in my case i am not healthy, and not only do i want to become healthy, but i am stretching for a much larger goal, and i hope that i can accomplish it! Safe Haven

 **SPOILER ALERT** I typically do not like to read the books that get turned into movies because i will usually end up hating the book or the movie. However, when i was up at bowling i got talking to one of the other girlfriends who hang out up there and we got talking about Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks. She suggested to read it, and she even gave me her copy of the book.  Ive had it for a few months now, and still didnt read it. I started about a month ago, and for the first few chapters, the book followed the movie, so i could almost see the movie playing in my head as i read. So i put the book down for a while. Just this past week i picked it back up again, and i finished it within days. The story is different.  In the movie Alex finds out about Katie's past because of the "wanted" poster up with her picture, however it really plays more into him finding out and its more a gradual thing in the book. Falltime Bucket List Update #5

Visit a Corn Maze  On 10/23/14 Mark and I went to a corn maze before Michael's football game. It was shaped like a vikings hat, and it was actually really fun. I had been to one when i was little and i had always wanted to go back to one. I was finally glad that i found one that was affordable! Last year all the corn mazes i had found cost about $30 or more. This one was $7! Perfect and i can not wait to go again next year.  Visit a Fall Festival  On 10/25/14 the town of Essex, CT held their annual pumpkin festival. I had been many years prior when i was babysitting someone, and i loved it! This year i made sure to look up the date, and when Mark got out of work we drive 30 minutes. The festival was fun! They had all the pumpkins that were carved and lit up. They had a band playing music and food and hot chocolate.
