Stacks are Dinning Out: The Place

For this week Mark picked number "10" 
On that page there were restaurants from either Guilford or Branford. We picked Guilford, only because it is closer to us than Branford, and we knew it would be a busy week/weekend with moving. 

The Place is a 44 minute drive from our current home in Waterford, however tonight is prom, so we will be seeing my brother and his girlfriend while they take pictures. We will leave from there. So from there it is only a 29 minute drive, which isn't bad.

This was the menu. The entire area was outdoors, and you sit on a log. They cook on large grills outside right in the middle of all the tables.

All in all, we will not be going back to the restaurant. We thought the atmosphere was fun and different, however we really didn't like the food. I got the plain chicken and the veggies. The plain chicken was so blah. There wasnt any salt or pepper even on it. Then Mark got the BBQ chicken and shrimp. He did not like the shrimp at all, and ended up leaving them on the plate. The BBQ chicken he said was "just alright, nothing special." We enjoyed our date night, just not the date location.

Every year people make all kinds of resolutions... and typically people drop them by the second week in january, or if they are lucky, they can hold on until february. I had seen online the other day someones resolution was for people to start loving who they were and to accept themselves and to stop trying to always change.  NOW, i love that resolution and i hope people are able to accept who they are, except in my case i am not healthy, and not only do i want to become healthy, but i am stretching for a much larger goal, and i hope that i can accomplish it! Safe Haven

 **SPOILER ALERT** I typically do not like to read the books that get turned into movies because i will usually end up hating the book or the movie. However, when i was up at bowling i got talking to one of the other girlfriends who hang out up there and we got talking about Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks. She suggested to read it, and she even gave me her copy of the book.  Ive had it for a few months now, and still didnt read it. I started about a month ago, and for the first few chapters, the book followed the movie, so i could almost see the movie playing in my head as i read. So i put the book down for a while. Just this past week i picked it back up again, and i finished it within days. The story is different.  In the movie Alex finds out about Katie's past because of the "wanted" poster up with her picture, however it really plays more into him finding out and its more a gradual thing in the book. Falltime Bucket List Update #5

Visit a Corn Maze  On 10/23/14 Mark and I went to a corn maze before Michael's football game. It was shaped like a vikings hat, and it was actually really fun. I had been to one when i was little and i had always wanted to go back to one. I was finally glad that i found one that was affordable! Last year all the corn mazes i had found cost about $30 or more. This one was $7! Perfect and i can not wait to go again next year.  Visit a Fall Festival  On 10/25/14 the town of Essex, CT held their annual pumpkin festival. I had been many years prior when i was babysitting someone, and i loved it! This year i made sure to look up the date, and when Mark got out of work we drive 30 minutes. The festival was fun! They had all the pumpkins that were carved and lit up. They had a band playing music and food and hot chocolate.
