Dinner With Friends

Tonight Marks good friend from MA came down with his fiance and met us for dinner. We went to longhorn steak house, because his friends are really into steak, me however, i usually go with the chicken. Fortunately the place was in the same town as we live. That way it was right down the road so that his friend and fiance could see our place. Well i REALLY enjoyed my dinner. I ordered the parmesan garlic chicken and it was amazing. One of the first things i did when i got home was find the copycat recipe online to make the chicken myself. It came with a caesar salad and a side. I picked french fries as my side. Mark got a steak with shrimp, rice and a sweet potato. The shrimp was DELISH as well! The part that didn't go so well is that most of our meals were messed up. Marks steak was way over cooked, they didn't bring my mayo, or two sides of sour cream. Then Linda (the fiance), her meal was all wrong. We had to send it back twice, and when it came the third time when she cut it open, it was still wrong. I felt super bad about it. After dinner they came back and they seemed to really like the house. Plus Linda told me a lot about Mark, that made me feel even more confident about Mark. But anyways, i have half of my meal left and i can not wait to have it!

Every year people make all kinds of resolutions... and typically people drop them by the second week in january, or if they are lucky, they can hold on until february. I had seen online the other day someones resolution was for people to start loving who they were and to accept themselves and to stop trying to always change.  NOW, i love that resolution and i hope people are able to accept who they are, except in my case i am not healthy, and not only do i want to become healthy, but i am stretching for a much larger goal, and i hope that i can accomplish it! Safe Haven

 **SPOILER ALERT** I typically do not like to read the books that get turned into movies because i will usually end up hating the book or the movie. However, when i was up at bowling i got talking to one of the other girlfriends who hang out up there and we got talking about Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks. She suggested to read it, and she even gave me her copy of the book.  Ive had it for a few months now, and still didnt read it. I started about a month ago, and for the first few chapters, the book followed the movie, so i could almost see the movie playing in my head as i read. So i put the book down for a while. Just this past week i picked it back up again, and i finished it within days. The story is different.  In the movie Alex finds out about Katie's past because of the "wanted" poster up with her picture, however it really plays more into him finding out and its more a gradual thing in the book. Falltime Bucket List Update #5

Visit a Corn Maze  On 10/23/14 Mark and I went to a corn maze before Michael's football game. It was shaped like a vikings hat, and it was actually really fun. I had been to one when i was little and i had always wanted to go back to one. I was finally glad that i found one that was affordable! Last year all the corn mazes i had found cost about $30 or more. This one was $7! Perfect and i can not wait to go again next year.  Visit a Fall Festival  On 10/25/14 the town of Essex, CT held their annual pumpkin festival. I had been many years prior when i was babysitting someone, and i loved it! This year i made sure to look up the date, and when Mark got out of work we drive 30 minutes. The festival was fun! They had all the pumpkins that were carved and lit up. They had a band playing music and food and hot chocolate.
