Swimming Lessons

I have finished the third book in The Beach House trilogy. This book: Swimming Lessons, by Mary Alice Monroe, takes place about 5 years after the first book ends.
We jump back into the lives of Cara, who is now married to Brett, and they are trying desperately for a child of their own, despite Cara's age.
Cara's friend returns to the beach after going through a divorce, while realizing she has to sell her beach house. When she finds out the buyer is her Ex-Husband.
A mother figure for all the ladies realizes she can no longer afford to live in her beach house, and it forces her to have to sell, but not before coming up with a way to still be around for all the turtle ladies.
This story really follows Toy and her daughter, Little Lovie, named after Olivia from the first two books.
Toy is working at an aquarium, and decides to open up her own turtle hospital. Then of course she meets a guy who also works at the aquarium and start to develop a relationship. But just as the relationship is blossoming, the father of Toys daughter comes back into the picture.
I really loved reading the book, however...in the first two books of the series, i was caught the last few chapters, wanting to read more. When i read the last chapter of this book, i found myself thinking, "thats it? That is how she is going to end things?!" Not too happy. I think things could have been summed up a little more, especially for the people like me who have loved these characters through three books. Still highly recommended though. Maybe other people feel differently about how it was all ended.
