Bridal Dress Shopping

On Friday Jan 29th my MOH Julie came home from Boston, and she came to my house. We made dinner together and enjoyed our night. We were watching Say Yes To The Dress to get ready for the next day.

Saturday Jan 30th Mom met us at my house, and then we drove to Providence, RI to pick up my other bridesmaid, Athina. Then we drove another 20 minutes to Davids Bridal. When we first got there we were given a sales associate, and we were allowed to roam the floor and pull dresses.

I tried on several dresses there, and liked them all, however i was not in love with any.

After Davids we all went to lunch at Ruby Tuesdays.

After lunch we headed in the other direction to Michele Bridal at the Shops at Waters Edge. There we pulled several dresses and the first one i tried on there i liked. I really liked. Then i tried more and more, and as i tried others on, i just wanted to put that first dress back on.

The associate Lissa, said she could put that dress on hold for two weeks. I made another appointment to come back and try it on again.

Two weeks later i went back at 4PM to try the dress on. I immediately put the dress on, and by 4:12 I said YES to my dress. Then i stayed in it for about an hour, and i am so excited! I love that dress. I keep looking at the pictures of me in my dress and i love it!

Every year people make all kinds of resolutions... and typically people drop them by the second week in january, or if they are lucky, they can hold on until february. I had seen online the other day someones resolution was for people to start loving who they were and to accept themselves and to stop trying to always change.  NOW, i love that resolution and i hope people are able to accept who they are, except in my case i am not healthy, and not only do i want to become healthy, but i am stretching for a much larger goal, and i hope that i can accomplish it! Safe Haven

 **SPOILER ALERT** I typically do not like to read the books that get turned into movies because i will usually end up hating the book or the movie. However, when i was up at bowling i got talking to one of the other girlfriends who hang out up there and we got talking about Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks. She suggested to read it, and she even gave me her copy of the book.  Ive had it for a few months now, and still didnt read it. I started about a month ago, and for the first few chapters, the book followed the movie, so i could almost see the movie playing in my head as i read. So i put the book down for a while. Just this past week i picked it back up again, and i finished it within days. The story is different.  In the movie Alex finds out about Katie's past because of the "wanted" poster up with her picture, however it really plays more into him finding out and its more a gradual thing in the book. Falltime Bucket List Update #5

Visit a Corn Maze  On 10/23/14 Mark and I went to a corn maze before Michael's football game. It was shaped like a vikings hat, and it was actually really fun. I had been to one when i was little and i had always wanted to go back to one. I was finally glad that i found one that was affordable! Last year all the corn mazes i had found cost about $30 or more. This one was $7! Perfect and i can not wait to go again next year.  Visit a Fall Festival  On 10/25/14 the town of Essex, CT held their annual pumpkin festival. I had been many years prior when i was babysitting someone, and i loved it! This year i made sure to look up the date, and when Mark got out of work we drive 30 minutes. The festival was fun! They had all the pumpkins that were carved and lit up. They had a band playing music and food and hot chocolate.
