My second virtual race completed! The yellow brick road to Oz. This race was a total of 26.2 miles, all of which I pushed myself to run. Another one bites the dust.
Tonight is friday, and typically i am excited that tomorrow i have the day off, to just hang out and relax. But this time around i decided to pick up an admission for one of my jobs, and i picked up another admission for another one of my jobs. Making two admissions tomorrow, on my "day off". I want to start picking up more work, and not feel so worried about money. That would be nice! What i have started to do is for every pay check i get 15% goes into my savings and 15% goes into my vacation fund. That way i am working hard, but it allows me almost an "allowance" to have fun! Now that i am getting more work, it is time to focus on my fitness. Mark had asked me what i did last time to make it work, and the truth was that i did classes. I used to do boot camp on mondays, combat on wednesday, and friday i did body pump. Tuesday, thursday and saturday i did a regular workout at the gym, and sundays i took off. The only reason i really took it off was because i was wor...
So i finally pass the nursing course at Fitchburg State, however....to take my boards in CT i need to be awarded my degree. FSU only awards degrees in December and May. So that means that if i want to take my boards in CT then i have to wait until i get my degree. They are awarding them on May 17th. Then it would take a few weeks to get my transcript stating i received my degree. Then i can send in my paperwork, wait about 10 days and then go online and pick out a date. By that time it will be the end of June. Um no thanks. I need to take it ASAP. So now even though i have made the hard decision to move back home, now i am dragged back to Mass because that is the only way i can take my test somewhat soon. So i dont know where i am going to work now or what is going to happen with me trying to save money. I thought i was finally clear of this type of stress, but it looks like i was wrong. Def taking my Ativan tomorrow, and possibly the next few days. I dont want to turn into a grump mon...
As i had posted before, the backyard of the house i bought was pretty awful when i moved in. You can see the full extent of the back yard here . The person who owned the house before me loved to garden, and she just let it go. The gardens were all over grown. Below are the before pics. You will be able to see all the areas of overgrown gardens. A view from the far corner. This is the raised garden in the middle. You can barely even see the back yard with how much is back here. Below are the during pics of trying to make the back yard better. It took a lot of weeding and digging. We took the bricks from the raised garden and turned it into the fireplace. After we had weeded just a little, we found this patio that was already there. Perfect for the fire pit. The raised garden after taking out the bricks. We started to smooth out the dirt. I had found someone who wanted the dirt so about a month after this picture we got all the dirt...
