Bridesmaids Weekend: Part Two (Hotel Festivities)

Image
From there we headed to the hotel to check in. Athina, Janette and I went in to check in. Waiting for me was a gift bag that had been dropped off at the hotel by Ashely, my bridesmaid who couldn’t make it to the weekend. We all checked in at the hotel, and got into the room. The room was nice. When you first walked in to the left was a bathroom, and to the right was the bedroom with two queen beds. Then straight ahead was the living room with a TV, couch, two arm chairs, desk chair and a sliding door out into the courtyard. We all sat down and hung out for a little while. I gave them all their champagne glasses, and I opened up my gift from Ash. It was those painted wine glasses, the bridal bouquet one with a bottle of champagne. So cute! Lauren had also brought a bottle of champagne so we wrapped it in a cold cloth and put it in the fridge. We all had a champagne toast. Meanwhile we picked out a place for dinner and made a reservation for 7pm. When we were done we head

Engagement Photos: Before

Tomorrow are our engagement photos. I have been planning so long for this day! Amanada our photographer emailed me today to confirm tomorrow for meeting at the first location at 5. Then I emailed another person involved to confirm, and I got back an auto reply that she was out of the office until 10/19. So I freaked out a bit. But I got a hold of her, and she gave me the contact of who is covering. So I spoke with him and we are all set. I have gone over Marks wardrobe, and when we get home from bowling we will hang it up, and get it all ready. As well as shaving his face and cutting his hair. I wrote out a list for the things that we have to bring with us tomorrow since we have to leave pretty much as soon as Mark comes home. Both of my dresses have been sewn, and ready. My hair apt has been confirmed, my finger nail polish has been picked out, and my eye brows have been plucked! I haven’t had my pictures taken in such a long time! I am so nervous but I

Bridesmaids Weekend: Part One (Dressing Shopping)

This past weekend was the weekend I had planned for quite a long time. Ill take you day by day… Friday I left my house around 1pm. I was going to head to Burlington MA to go to a bookstore I like to go to. What should have taken me 2 hours…took me much longer. I didn’t arrive at the book store until around 415. I did my thing there and then left quickly. I GPS my way to Julies house. I was leaving at 4:50 and it said ETA was 5:24. Well I didn’t arrive at Julies until 6:30. Then to add to it, it became dark, and started to rain. So by the end of my drive, I was more than happy to be at Julies and out of the car! Julie and I hung out for the night and then we went to bed. Saturday 7:30 AM my alarm is going off. We had a few things to do in the AM. First we picked up my friend Athina down the road. Then as we headed back to Julies we picked up Marks cousin Janette. Then we all headed to Davids Bridal in Danvers MA. When we got there we signed in, and then we were told to go and

Engagement Photos & Dress Disaster!

Mark and I have our engagement photos and save the date photo session coming up in just about a week. We are doing the vintage theme, and therefore have been trying to find out fits for both of us to wear. Mark he had gray pants, a white button down shirt. I found him a gray scally cap, and I have been trying to find gray suspenders. Now I have been looking everywhere. Finally I found a pair online, ordered them, and they work! I made him put the whole outfit on last night, and he looks awesome in it. My outfit. I wanted two dresses. I had found a red one a while ago for the save the date photo. I just took it to the seamstress to take up the hem since its too long and make the sleeves a little bigger. I will be getting that back in a few days. Then I was trying to find another dress for the rest of the engagement photos, and still have it look vintage. I wanted to find a royal blue with polka dot dress. I searched everywhere. Finally found one. I got it in the mail, an
