Summertime Beach Bum

This was a race (virtual) that I did and the money raised went to families whose spouse was killed in the line of duty. The money helped pay for schooling, mortgages and other expenses. A wonderful cause! Total was 13.1 mi.  The cool thing about this medal was that the lights at the top lit up blue and red. 

My second virtual race completed! The yellow brick road to Oz. This race was a total of 26.2 miles, all of which I pushed myself to run. Another one bites the dust. 

I had mentioned before the company Make Yes Happen, where they have virtual races. The first race i signed up for was Alice in Wonderland. The total race was 22.4 miles. I challenged myself by only counting the miles i run, and i finished the race last Friday. After running for a few days, i realized i needed to buy a new pair of running sneakers. So today in the mail both my medal and my running sneakers arrived! Look at these beauties!

For spring break this year my family and i booked a vacation at the Barcelo Punta Cana, and all-inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic. Here are pictures from our trip!  We booked a limo to take us from our house to JFK airport. We were riding in style!
