Skiing Family

Image
MY DREAM: I would love to one day be a skiing family. I want to own a log cabin somewhere in VT, where we are close by to the mountains. I want to have season passes, and be able to go up on the weekends. The problem: Mark doesn't ski, and i haven't in years. But i would love to raise my kids on skis, and get them interested into the sport. My goal is to one day this season, to get Mark up to a slap (even the little ones in CT) and get him a lesson on skis, and see how he does. I also need to try on my boots and see how the fit since i haven't worn them in almost 6 years. I hope he likes the sport.... I can just picture packing everyone in the car, and loading up the equipment, and heading up to our second home, to enjoy a winter sport filled weekend. Whether it is the skiing on the mountain during the day, the fires and jacuzzi at nights! Work hard, play hard??? Maybe someday this will come true!

Best App: Weight Watchers Mobile

I have to honestly say that the best app that i have on my phone right now is my weight watchers app. So you do have to log into it in order to use it. The reasons i love it: Barcode Scanner: this is the scanner where it scans any foods barcodes to tell you the point values Tracker: it can track my foods throughout the day, helping me stay on track Connect: its the social media part of the app, except everyone is positive! If you ever have any questions, or need help, or just need to tell everyone about something good that happened, the connect world is there for you. Weight Graph: This is where it always shows your start weight, and every time you weigh in, the current weight will add to the graph, and its always there to remind you where you started from Foods: Not only does it show you point values for foods, but it also has restaurants and their meals, so it helps you go out to eat and pick healthy options! If you can't tell by now, i highly recommend weight watche

Weight Watchers

Jan 4th: I was working through my work day, and a friend of mine through work asked me if i was going to the inservice. I told her i had not planned on it, but since she was stuck going, i would see how my day ended up. She tells me that misery loves company, and would love if i went.  So i show up at the office a bit before the meeting, and there at the office are two nurses that i am friendly with.  One notices how i am upset, and asks me to share. So i share how my weight is really affecting me, and my relationship. They both tell me about weight watchers, and how i should go and check it out. They talked with me for about 30 minutes about it.  I decided i would go after the inservice and check it out. When i first got there it was just about 3:30, and i went up to the door, took a pic of the hours, and then got back in my car. I was about to leave when i noticed two women waiting outside the doors. I looked at the hours on my phone and realized the location opened at 330. I

Tis The Season: Robyn Carr

Image
I recently started a book called: 'Tis The Season by Robyn Carr. I didn't realize when i picked it out, but it is actually 3 short stories, that kind of intertwine with each other. So i will break it down by each story. Under The Christmas Tree This is a story about a girl named Annie who is on her way home to her family for Christmas time. She decides to stop in at the little bar in Virgin River owned by Jack and his family. While she is there they are setting up the giant christmas tree. She hears the sound of puppies, and finds a box of puppies under the christmas tree that were abandoned. Growing up on a farm, Annie knows she can help save these puppies and get them to the age of adoption. She convinces Jack to keep the puppies in his bar until they become a little older. They call in the old vet who is well known to the town when a young man walks in and catches Annie's attention. Nathan is the new vet since his father gave him the practice. The story is between Ann
